Terms of use
By creating a LewLz account or using the Windows app, website or meetings, you agree to these terms. This page is a working draft for lawyer review, not legal advice.
Service
LewLz lets you communicate from a Windows PC: voice, video, chat, files, screen sharing, remote assistance and meetings. Guests may join meetings in the browser. LewLz is not a replacement for emergency services and is not a PSTN phone line. There is no advertised customer self-hosting.
Accounts
You are responsible for your password and for activity on your account. Keep credentials private. One person should not share a single account across an automated farm of devices.
Acceptable behavior
Do not use LewLz to harass others, break the law, spam, impersonate people, or attack LewLz systems. See also Acceptable use.
Calling limitations
Free voice is limited to 30 minutes per day. Premium is unlimited voice while the subscription is active. LewLz does not provide international PSTN calling.
Free plan
Free includes contacts, chat, 1-to-1 video, voicemail, 5 MB P2P files, 1 device, 30 minutes of voice per day, and limited group calls, meetings, screen sharing, remote assistance and recording.
Premium subscription
LewLz Premium is one recurring subscription per account. It unlocks unlimited voice, full group calls and meetings, full screen sharing and remote assistance, large file transfers, full recording, and up to 3 devices while active.
Billing
Cards are processed by the billing provider, never by the LewLz app or this website. We store subscription state, not payment credentials. Public trials are not offered unless explicitly configured later.
Cancellation
Cancel at period end keeps Premium until expiry. Then entitlements return to Free. Chats, contacts and history remain unless you delete the account.
Devices
Free allows 1 active device. Premium allows up to 3. The server is authoritative. Device management is in the Windows app.
User content
You are responsible for what you send in chat, files, meetings and recordings. Do not upload malware or obviously illegal content.
Recording
Recording is never silent. Tell other participants when you record. Recordings kept on a Windows PC stay on that PC unless you move them. You must follow the laws that apply to you; LewLz does not claim recording is lawful everywhere.
Remote assistance
Remote assistance requires an active session and the other person’s participation. Do not use it to control a computer without that person’s knowledge.
File transfer
Transfers are peer-to-peer. Free is limited to 5 MB. Premium allows large transfers up to the technical maximum. File bytes are not kept as a permanent VPS archive.
Account deletion
You can delete your account from the app or website after password confirmation and typing DELETE. Server sessions are revoked. Local files on your PC remain local.
Service availability
LewLz is hosted cloud software. We aim for a reliable service and do not promise uninterrupted uptime. Features may be limited by plan, device count or operational incidents.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product changes. Material product rules (Free vs Premium, device limits, file size) stay consistent with the running application.
